So I Can Fly

Eighty-Four Pins is my first collection of Poetry available now! Order on www.amazon.co.uk

So I Can Fly

Over the years,
I’ve let my perception take hold,
I’ve finally let go of the old,
The burden that I have carried,

All of this time,
Each day my eyes,
Opened a little more,
With the power of prayer,
A mantra,
Words began to pour,

Curing me,
Of all my troubles and ills,
In the cold dark of silence,
I lay perfectly still,

As sweet nectar,
Flowed over me,
Bursting the river banks,
Finally setting me free,

To walk once more,
To be free, to explore,
To untie these shackles,
These chains,
Take away the burden,
So I can fly once again.
