They said I’m a sinner, so I drink
They said I lost my mind, so I think
Hypnotized by lies, so I pray
Baptized in my cries, there I lay
When the strong fall weak, it’s deep
Lost beyond hope, no sleep
I hid from the truth, I ran from excuses
Left feeling useless
If the Lord answers my call, I’ll come running
Let those who went before me know, I’ll be coming
Left crippled, that grip was lost
How do you not reminisce about the pain you caused
I hurt for it, a pain forever lasting
I smile though, theses pains I’m forever masking
Blinded by temptations embedded within my soul
A life without meaning, became a life without control
The answers are lost….forever gone
How can I be right….if I’m forever wrong
Paralyzed, so I wait
Destiny, or fate
Left crippled…that grip was lost
