Poem -

Society gone wrong?

What has happened to our society
Nobody wants to wait their turn
In bygone days there was orderly queues
Can we make our new humanity learn

Theres no forgiveness nor respect
We used to give the elderly a seat
The world was a friendlier place
Younguns don’t welcome us with a greet

It costs nothing to be pleasant
Yet some children of today areΒ
Glum
We looked up to our eldersΒ
But sadly these kids have us under their thumb

There has to be a reason for these changes
Parents aren’t policing their offspring right
Is it too late to reverse our methods
Teaching from toddler age the way to be polite

So come on our older generation
Let us get together to enforce care
Schooling our cherubs consideration
So they may grow more affably aware
