Soft Music, Wine, And Hard Pain

I’ve come up with a formula, with which my poetry now can rain;

It has but three ingredients, soft music, wine, and pain!

The three of them when mixed as one, start my pen to freely write;

It makes no difference what the time, in daylight or at night!

The first one is the music soft, of the New Age fantasy;

The kind I’d always play for us, as you lay right next to me!

Our ears would hear the gentle sounds, of Mother Nature’s wistful whims;

And together we’d sway to and fro, to the notes of sacred hymns!

The second two were new ones, that I found the day you passed;

The first, the wines of passion, for my love that will forever last!

Because they take me ever higher, to the stars up in the sky;

And I feel like I can touch you, when I’m flying very high!

The second one is hard pain, the kind I suffer every day;

It attacked my open, bleeding heart, the night you sailed away!

But now this formula I’ve concocted; always cures my feelings blue;

For soft music, wine, and hard pain, bring back, the “soul” of you!
