Amber ale in frosted glass,
Numerous tipple abundant cask.
Ambience resonates laughs and cries,
Shadowy figures deal cards and lies.
 
Lyrical melody banter and jest,
Piano notes fain picturesque.
Dusky maiden midst leering eyes,
Whiskey chasers or Martini dry?
 
Incessant spirits in sorrow consumed,
An audience with strangers and demons exhumed.
Tall tales swapped swamped in smoke,
Deathly shadows in peril provoke.
