Poem -

Solitaire lights.

Must his spark dim to light a flame belonging to the moon and stars

I've felt the loneliest need for night, the woven tracks above all
his scars

I felt his sorrow long depart
On golden outstretched wings

Ive' fallen, fell..
to stand alone with shadows and other things

On golden wings a gliding was, against the spirit high to rise

But faced that common black again, long nights there in your eyes

Oh departed love of mine
How could you spring
From hope to rush

And place the little solitaire lights in formation there to hush

A lullaby, a song to cry
Below the surface
of the sky

Only to look up
and onwards, towards the lonely sights of night

Having not a candle
Baring, a lantern heart
in doubt

Once the strongest fire burning, but love
You doused it out.
