A better life I seek
Exhausting and tiring
I work six days a week

Spending and wasting
The money's going fast
Stretching and spreading
Don't think its gonna last

Waiting and juggliing
All the dreaded bills
Accepting and enduring
A life without the frills

Regretting and repenting
The sinner I used to be
Moaning and groaning
It always happens to me

Hoping and praying
The car will bloody start
Cursing and swearing
The bastards falling apart

Desiring and craving
Some passion in my life
Avoiding and dodging
Ear bashings from the wife

Uplifting and promising
Absolutely nowt
Screaming and shouting
But nothing ever comes out

Clambering and crawling
An effort to climb the stairs
Wishing and pretending
That somebody out there cares .........
