Open heart, open mind, opened for a new romance,

take the risk, take the time?, yes I’ll take another chance.

someone who will not cherish brawls,

someone who will not break my dreams.

someone who understands the moods in me,

someone who will not bring me to my knee.

someone who sees the light, and sees it bright,

that we are different, and says it’s alright.

someone to help when times are hard,

someone who’ll always be my guard.

someone who tells the truth each time,

someone who knows to lie’s a crime.

someone to forgive each wrong I make,

someone to understand I need a break.

and if this time I find my mate,

and if she’s hooked and takes my bait,

to be her faithful loving man.
