Poem -

Something

One day

I stopped

and pulled my knees to my chest,

and mumbled words of comfort

into my breast.

i said

"you must be strong

and not show them

how much you've been

shaken to your core.

you must not show them

anything."

But then I thought

let them see.

Let them see

my shaking

my tears

let them hear my screams.

And then maybe another will do the same

until everyone in the world

is breaking down

showing emotion

showing how scared they are-

maybe we'll all start to feel

something.
