Part I-- Looking For Mr. Nico
.
When Cody goes outside to potty, there is something that he will do;
It pulls tightly at my heartstrings, then tears it brings a few!
For he scans up and down the landscape, as my chest begins to wrack;
He’s looking for his dear brother, to someday be coming back!
.
It’s so hard to watch him do this, for how can I explain;
That he’s gone from us forever, and won’t be home again!
So I just let him do his searching, as it brings him some relief;
To think Nico will be back with us, and end his constant grief!
.
I know how much he misses him, for he’s depressed and always sleeps;
I know he dreams about him, for I hear him often weep!
Except they’re tears of pure elation, for again both of them at play;
But then he wakes up to the reality, that Mr. Nico has gone away!

                         My soul searches for Nico
                            To come back to me

Part II--The Legacy of Your Soul
.
You left no will that fateful night, when you floated to the stars;
But a greater treasure you sent to me, from the Heavens off afar!
It arrived as I kissed goodbye to you, my heart a blackened hole;
I felt it enter into me, “The Legacy Of Your Soul”!

Now for near one thousand days, it guides my lonely heart;
It cries each one in agony, for now we are apart!
But that is only physically, Forever are we bound;
By a love that transcends life and death, our Universe be found!

Some day we’ll hold and play again, on planets now unknown;
Time will have no meaning there, we shall never ‘gain be alone!
Our souls have found eternity, both waiting to reunite;
The Legacy of yours and mine, in the Everlasting Light!
