Song of the Sea

I stand here by the sea
In the distance I hear
A flute playing A ancient
Song of the Sea Of long
Ago, I stand here by the sea
watching the waves come in
Sing me a song of the sea
From ancient times asÂ
As the flute plays IÂ
I drink from my crurt
They do a dance
From ancient times
As they sing a song
Of the sea
I stand by the sea
Oh sing me a song
Of those ancient times
As they play the flute
They also play lute
And dance to the ancient
Song of  the sea.

Greg there is just something hypnotic about the sea.
A real calling to those watching it, you know, you just can't take your eyes off it be it calm or stormy. Like a snake charmer at work
And your poem and mention of said sea and that flute works so well on this reader.Â
A real calling poem and one of equal charm also my friend.
Poetry stars to you for writing something enthralling.
All good things to yourself Greg and thank you for sharing :)Â
