Soulful Hell
Dedicated to zZzleepy - Here it is!!
I had recently described one of zZzleepy's poems as a soulful hell! It went down really well!! Which in turn inspired me and challenged me to write my next poem with this title! Enjoy!!
I lay beneath the stars
Trapped in a dream
A nightmare
Of once
What was
And now is no more
Feelings of despair
Run through me
I am no longer real
So how do I feel so?
In this Soulful Hell
Lift me up
Bring me to life
Ignite my soul
That is throwing me
Into the wilderness
Of TIME.......

Thank you so much for your lovely comment there Tony! Glad you liked it. I had to look up the meaning of poetic licence! I guess I have been doing that kinda. I like to do my own thing. Free of rules!! Its why I dont like haiku when I found out what that was this year...I find it too restrictive and it can affect creativity....counting them syllables!! I dont really do the traditional 4 line verse with ryhme. Though I have had a bash at it but wouldnt be my norm. I like prose, freestyle and having fun with words if I can do it. Thank you for recognising that and knowing the term!! Thanks for the support and encouragement!! Px💜

So that's a really good point cos it really does to compliment the image. I just wanted to be creative with the layout!! Really has been good to know what people's view was on this one.
