Poem -

Specimen Of Your Past

I have sought the essence of beauty found in the eyes of love
How great and magnificent putting shame to the stars above
And you might think of me as a specimen of your pasts
But mine is the passion whose flame forever lasts
Found no more in your present satisfaction, merely my replacement
When you find yourself lost, alone, where your heart grows complacent
I cannot say that I do not think of you
Your love has touched me as have so very few
Yet daily I move on in search of someone better
One who will not leave me through a letter
