Sphere

Sphere

Gestures we offer one another,

Like flagrant temptation, one holds to the next

But the blunt of our appologies and words to one another

tend to follow a familiar pattern

Circling itself once again.

Sparking memories of an older apology~

One without flavour or stability

But rather fluid and inconcrete.Β

I refuse to be one of those,

For I would rather be resented for being selfish

Than hand over an empty platter of someone else's regret.Β

Hey EMILY!!...... this is a truly powerful piece...... fantastic phrasing driving home the intent of the Title!!.....".. circling itself once again.."... the round and round of those words without the heart of depth and meaning ~ or empty apologies........ great sense of metering here as well........ and those two closing lines are killer!!........ALL STARS....... well done!!....... and......WELCOME to COSMO!!.........LOVE and ROCKETS!!........T xo

Wow! Emily, I found you on shuffle. I`m very impressed by this write, intrinsically complex. Such a thought-provoking poem. Yes, I think I`m gonna pin this for a later read. Seems like a poem that keeps on giving!
