Split Aces

Split Aces

It was late one evening in Vegas at a casino
When toward that blackjack table I did go
An armadillo was walking across the Vegas sand
As the dealer dealt me that improbable hand
Betting all my money
I was nervous I admit
But baby, unlike those split aces
On you I will not split

I was dealt two aces as I just sat there
Then I made them into a separate pair
I could lose double my money and that wasn’t a joke
But with no heeding to the danger I went for broke
Betting all my money
I was nervous I admit
But baby, unlike those split aces
On you I will not split

The dealer got nervous as he began to dealt
Those cards which was when my body did melt
I risked it all but won it all as into that seat I sankĀ Ā
Picked you up in my Cadillac and laughed all the way to the bankĀ Ā Ā
Betting all my money
I was nervous I admit
But baby, unlike those split aces
On you I will not split
