SPRING

The white blanket, is almost gone.

Actually seeing, a brownish green lawn.

Fields are laying, in tiny lakes.

That is what Spring rain makes.

Grounds are wet and mushy to the feet.

Daylight is getting longer, much more heat.

The smell of Spring, is in the air.

But, the naked trees, are still bare.

Buds and flowers, trying to pop.

Sun is warm, upon the rooftop.

Soft white blanket, lay upon the ground.

Howling of the wind, the only sound.

Birdies fluttering their wings, cold and lost.

Branches and twigs, being blown and tossed.

Evergreens stand lonely, hanging low.

There vibrant green branches, covered in snow.

Temperatures falling, way  down low.

Sky is greyish purple, with signs of snow.
