Stage Fright

Crimson fell
upon my face
when I realized
the audience
had not a clue
what I was
trying to
convey
With the spirit
of Sir William Wallace
i agreed to
speak
intending
to captivate
the crowd
with my
eloquent
voice
Yet the reaction
i was expecting
never came to
pass
instead cold
silence
invaded the stage,
leaving me
with such an
awful
feeling of desperation,
the likes of something
I never felt before.....
Then like an angel
sent from
above
i saw in the midst
of the crowd
one
kind distant
smile
fighting to
give me comfort
and confidence
to carry on
Funny when facing
a thousand faces,
there only needs
to be one that gleams,
Showing they believe in
you, to turn the tides
around......

Hello Greg...
Some people say they're nervous for the first few minutes...
Some people can just get out there and they are in complete control...
Great advice...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

I usually am nervous for about 30 seconds and then I grab the audience’s attention and I am very good of winning people’s views to my side
