Stage Fright

Crimson fellÂ
upon my face
when I realizedÂ
the audienceÂ
had not a clue
what I wasÂ
trying to
convey
With the spiritÂ
of Sir William Wallace
i agreed toÂ
speak
intending
to captivateÂ
the crowd
with myÂ
eloquentÂ
voice
Yet the reaction
i was expectingÂ
never came toÂ
pass
instead cold
silenceÂ
invaded the stage,
leaving me
with such anÂ
awful
feeling of desperation,
the likes of somethingÂ
I never felt before.....
Then like an angel
sent from
above
i saw in the midstÂ
of the crowd
oneÂ
kind distantÂ
smile
fighting toÂ
give me comfortÂ
and confidenceÂ
to carry on
Funny when facing
a thousand faces,
there only needs
to be one that gleams,
Showing  they believe in
you, to turn the tides
around......

Hello Greg...
Some people say they're nervous for the first few minutes...
Some people can just get out there and they are in complete control...
Great advice...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

I usually am nervous for about 30 seconds and then I grab the audience’s attention and I am very good of winning people’s views to my side
