Stagnation

Stagnation

I search for a page I am already on
I knock on doors I've already entered
I rename myself the same name
I arrive at a party when I already came
I'm beginning to think I am demented

I invent a contraption I already have
I take a 'new' road that I'd already taken
I watch a film and get to a scene
then realize it's one I've already seen
I find a 'new' friend but am mistaken

Nothing is fresh
It's getting so stale
No season unknown to me
not even hail
It's causing my impulse
To fade into numb
And rotting my mind
To be perfectly dumb

Open a window
Give me fresh air
Let the breeze blow
through my salt-pepper hair
Fill my lungs
with life like an ocean
Restore my vitality
and my emotion

How refreshing, the way you wrapped the words together.
Great use of: Homophones

I watch a film and get to a scene
then realize it's one I've already seen

Favorite part:

Let the breeze blow
through my salt-pepper hair
Fill my lungs
with life like an ocean
Restore my vitality
and my emotion

Amazing descriptions, perfect last stanza.
