Star Light Star Bright

For Janine, Alisa and Michelle

Star Light Star Bright

Star, bright garner of desires,
What is one to choose.
An honest lover with grace,
For you to grant or refuse.

Should I wish for baubles,
Trinkets of jewels and gold.
Lifeless riches beyond compare,
Forever inert and cold.

Lustrous light hear my plea,
An attentive decision made.
Left with your warm wisdom,
To cease a solitary charade

Oh, gentle generous beam,
Reposed within you my trust.
Until time bids souls return,
To become again stardust.

.

Greg thanks man for your generosity and more importantly your friendship and both are never forgotten by this so so Welshie wannabee poet.
I've just been through your poetry back catalogue and my God!
So many to pick and choose, but I'm getting there slowly but surely and just for the record if you choose to visit the UK and especially Wales wellΒ  there will be for you much more than a mere welcome in the hillsides!!
Thank you Greg and will be back to read more late this Sunday night and other members also, back in work tomorrow but a least it's quiet at the museum a real ghost town and if that's not a good idea or title for a poem then what is.
See you Sunday night my friend and thanks again for your tireless support for so many on this wonderful sight.
Nos da Greg and you are a rock on here for so many.

Great poem Shaun! and I believe we are simply stardust, however I also believe we are all given the gift of immortality and be reunited with our body in it's perfect frame hoping for" Eternal Life," or to live in the presence of Heavenly Father! thank you for starting an idea with your wonderful poem and allowing others such as me to express our beliefs! best wishes to you my friend! and have a wonderful Christmas!.......................................................Jim

Angels are made of stardust.Β
HopeΒ  a shooting star.Β
All issues are tissues.Β
And one can only imagine that there's a place for imagination in this domineering years of disease.Β
Evolution.Β
If only the strength matters what strengths count up to your own star.Β

Being Me

Oh, how I have stood beneath the stars making wishes upon then. I wished and I wished and I wished ...and my wish came true!Β  It did, it really did! Just when I'd lost all hope the wish was granted.Β  Love this poem xx
