Stars

When I look at you I see the glisten of a thousand stars,
Even in a vast, dark space there is still light,
See I used to be the type of girl who would see the sky rather than the stars,
But you showed me the beauty of them,
No matter how dark the sky they were always there,
Shining just as bright as ever,
That's how I am around you,
Because how can anything really be wrong when you make everything alright?
The beauty of the stars is that you can tell them anything,
I can scream at the top of my voice about everything that makes me sad and they listen,
When I cry the rhythm of their shimmers surrounds me like a big bear hug straight from the Cosmo,
If I could, I would pluck every one out of the sky,
Place them in a glass jar,
Finished with a red bow,
Just so you can feel me around when you're down,
When I look at the stars,
I don't see a dark sky,
I see us.
