Poem -

I'm so tired of being tired

I'm so tired of being tired.
Eyes dry,
Eyelids heavy.
The tightness in my chest grows stronger,
I pray the day it finally implodes is soon because I cannot take another day doing nothing as I wait for the moon.
My body longs for rest but my mind,
My mind,
It likes to play the cruelest of tricks,
Imagining every bad scenario that could exist and intertwine them until the room is spinning,
I fall on my back,
Grasping out for something,
Anything,
Nothing.
I lay there paralysed by my own thoughts as the moonlight changes to sun.
Eyes dryer,
Eyelids heavier,
I'm so tired of being tired.
