Poem -

Silence

Silence,
Empty rooms and unworn shoes,

A coldness in the air,

Your whispers echo in the past,

How I long to feel you there,

The warmth from your body still lingers,

As I aimlessly walk the halls,

A place once filled with love,

Gives me nothing but cold chills,

Drifting winds push my body forward,

As the rain consumes my mind,

Memories of what used to be,

The only place they'll thrive,

I drop down to my knees,

My head between my hands,

Air escaping my lungs,

With nothing to comfort me,

I fear that you have won.

But in a world of endless possibilities,
The impossible...
