stars

In the realm of online poetry,
A star system once shone so bright,
Guiding readers to the gems among verses,
A celestial light in the digital night.

But darkness crept in, as poets plotted,
"You star my poems, and I’ll star yours," they whispered,
The celestial guide became mere trade,
Stars exchanged, not for art, but for mutual aid.

Genuine talent, now sadly eclipsed,
By a constellation of reciprocity,
True connoisseurs left to navigate,
A sky cluttered with luminaries, not of quality.

The system, corrupted, tells tales of alliances,
Not of the poetry that once moved souls,
And so, the stars lost their way,
Dimming the light of poetic truth, as it rolls.
