Poem -

Stars Over the North Shore

Late into the night I walk deserted beaches of the north shore.
I am guided only by the stars,
And followed by the pale blue moon.
I walk letting the incoming tide submerge my feet.
Then I stand and listen to the waves hit against the dock.
Slowly letting myself drift away into thought.
I wonder how so many horrible things,
Can happen is so little time.
Once I had everything,
The next everything was snatched and carried away right before my eyes
Honestly I don't care anymore.
I'm used to having my heart broken and crushed,
I don't know what hurts more,
The fact of knowing that I am heartbroken,
Or knowing its only a matter a time before it happens again
