STATISTICS AND FACTS DON'T LIE

 
I'm not one for facts, statistics and such  
Found one today that disturbed me so very much  
In Britain a homeless person dies every nineteen hours  
Very upsetting I must say like wilting flowers 

What can the answer be I really don't know
Flaws in our system are beginning to show
How can this be right in Britain today ? 
Something needs to be done that I must say  

It's sad to think what will happen next  
Something to ponder as you send out your text 
Statistics and facts dear friend don't lie  
All the time I shake my head and wonder why
