Steer your own life

Hiding behind a wall of insecurity,

sits the beautiful personality of a teen,

A wall built by the teasing of impurities,

Consumed by the thought of what is being seen?

Feeling like each set of eyes drifts across a new realm,

and suddenly their personality is tossed from the helm,

Suddenly someone else is in the drivers seat of life,

and you're now just along for the ride,

Changing trends faster than a chef swings a knife,

your hair, clothes, friends, do they match what's inside?

It's too hard to tell anymore because your lost,

Your personality becomes coated in a layer of frost.

what's produced is a cold shell of who you could be,

This zombie that will change everything at a moments notice,

just to be the coolest kid everyone can see,

maybe these people are the examples of happiness,

but whats the cost to be popular?

Keep in mind that our personalities ultimately conquer.
