Stifled love

Stifled love

where are those smiles so divine?
when days have flown from cherished hands
how shall hearts ignite and chime?
when love is just a grain of sand

the roses bloomed
but found no light
left stifled in the dark

their radiant colour
lost to night
they gently fall apart

oh silence
with your heavy hold
oh distant falling star

how can I wish for love so bold
when love remains so far

'oh silence with your heavy hold'

this is a beautiful gentle verse...even sadly romantic with a lostness to it that shadows its sentiments exactly which are held entirely in that one amazing line above Gwen. I want to scoop the while thing up and give it a cwtch. One of your best here xx

Marion thank you so much for these wonderful words and for  delving in. I think as a species we are becoming a lost cause as we cannot love our indifferences, we struggle to get along and we just abuse nature x

Even if I had wanted to stay forever neath my quilt & hide away .. this little gem of yours now gifted to us all would have enticed me out into the open .. Beautifully sad and yet with an undoubted universal appeal
to all those who would look upon this sorry world of ours similarly .. xx
