Still She Dances

In the sacred shadows
Of Gateway Standing Stone
A maiden enchants the shaded masses
With soft and silky tones
She pounds out a rhythm of reason
Each step a past unknown
A simi-silent sound slips from her lips
A meager moan in her melody and motion
Her long legs are roots released
An unbreakable connection
No cover for her free flesh of perfection
Her glowing bronze complection
She dances for all the daughters of her mother
And every womans lover, every mothers son, every sister's brother
We may no longer see her
Or hear the song she sings
But she is there, a path to our orgins
Dancing forever around those sacred rings
