Stillness

Stillness

My brain wound is tirelessly weeping.

Invasive thoughts wrap me in a blanket and tuck me into their comfort.

I remain content, remembering the moments in which I mistook salt for sugar.

Captivity is climbing out of the blanket, only to still be left in my skin.
