Poem -

Stolen Breath

Stolen Breath

The first
time
That our
eyes locked
you stole
my breath
from
me

The first
time
you clenched
my
hand

every nerve
in my body
sang
in unison

Decades later
they continue
to sing

kinda like
a beautiful
symphony

violins
bass
flutes
and
the harp
transcends
this
soul
 knowing
that I have
you
by my side

Every time
I awake
I find myself
seduced
back
into a
dream
when my
eyes
open to
you

Our
Children
live
in
confidence
because
of
you

Saying
that you
are the
love
of my
life
just
does not
expresses
the
impact
you have
made
on me
our children
and all
who are
blessed
in having
the opportunity
of knowing
you

Physically
you are
an incredible
beauty
and that
sweet
eastern European
accent
Magnifies
your
adorable
CHARACTER

Ironically
what
you consider
a weakness
captivates
your
audience

Excuse the rant

but

Maybe  I am
amazed
