A Stormy Night

A Stormy Night

On a Halloween night, a storm began to brew...
For I was all alone, and didn't know what to do!
My Mom and Dad, had gone out for the night,
and I fearfully awaited, the thunder of fright!
Running swiftly to my room, I hid in my bed,
I piled all the covers, over my head.
And then it happened...

TWITCH WENT THE LIGHTS---
DOWN POURED THE RAIN---
BOOM! WENT THE THUNDER---

I THOUGHT I'D GO INSANE!

CANDLES FILLED THE DARKNESS---
LOW LIGHT COULD ONLY SEE,
ALL THOSE SCARY SHADOWS,

STARING RIGHT AT ME!

SO STIFF AS A BOARD,
I PRAYED THRU THE NIGHT;
"LORD, PLEASE! TURN ON THE LIGHTS!"
