Story Of A Girl

She walks up, she looks down,

clenches the rail and takes a deep breath.

Her reasons for being here are to be kept discreet.

She closes her eyes and hopes to succeed.

This is a story about a girl, you think she's sweet

and undeterred, you think she has a heart of gold, but

within lies a story that she never told.

Tell me what you see in her face. Beauty? Radiance? A smile

that goes on for days? Can you still see the luster in her eyes? I

know you don't know about the pain and tears she cries.

That's it! She thinks, I'm done anticipating, That's it! She thinks

I'm done masquerading

She opens her mouth to let it all out, she unleashed a scream, she felt like

a captive lion held in a cage. But now after this moment she can be free, she can

escape.

So she tilts her head back, inhales the midnight air. Opens her eyes

as she kisses the stars goodbye. This is it, this is the end. No more pain will she have to feel again.

Now the only sound to be heard is the splash of the crystal blue water that

makes ripples as she goes down.

So tell me now, what do you see? Melancholy? Brokenness? A heart that
