Story of a Victim

Story of a Victim

They brutally assaulted,
Said hurtful words in kind,
Abused your soul and body,
Which tormented your mind.

You wanted to take vengeance,
To wound them back as such,
And dreamed of how to do it,
Your hatred as the crutch.

But then you found a Savior,
Your God now Jesus Christ,
To which He healed inside you,
Those thoughts to kill in kind.

Discovering a new life,
You prayed to then forgive,
As you knew this was freeing,
And peace at last would win.
