Storyteller

Take a look inside my mind
You'll find an excited child
Using super powers 
And acting wild

I was raised by a good woman
Who always encouraged my imagination 
So I've always known
In my head were boundless destinations 

When life was to much to bare
I'd craft a story and unload
I know that magic exists
But not in the way I was told

I've always had this way to cope
And I've never lost my wonder
I've always been this big jock
Who was a bigger nerd undercover

When I felt scared and lonely
I'd create someone who's not
When I was tired and cold
I'd craft someone who's energetic and hot

So the point I'm making
Weaving tales is in my blood
A story teller is what I am
I'm a dam holding back a flood

I will be the next in line
To spin an epic yarn
And in this mighty tale
No excited child will be harmed

Because I will encourage my son 
Like my wonderful mother did me
So he will truly know
In his mind is the key to infinite galaxies
