Strength to Struggle Through

She has her struggles, this is true
but, with courage, she struggles through
like a lion with a steadfast roar
and on eagles wings on which she soars
forsaking depression as it does loom
deciding happiness is what she'd consume
as her strength grows hour by hour
and day by day sadness has nothing to devour
always knowing there's a voice and wings to fly
she can overcome things that made her cry
for these majestic beasts that dwell inside
give her strength to no longer hide
