Stripes

When I was 11, Zebras were my favorite animal
I wondered when I was going to get my stripes
I was 12 when I started getting my stripes
Red lines on my skin in abstract patterns
More and more stripes appearing every night
I was a zebra of reds and browns and whites
Red Stripes turned into Brown stripes
Brown faded into White.
I got my stripes because I was different
Too you it wasn't the good kind of different
To you I was a freak
Meant to be pushed around
And thrown to the ground
I don't like zebras anymore
I dont want anymore stripes
I dont give a fuck what you want
Im done being pushed around
And beaten
Ive earned my stripes
So now you can go and fuck off

I really enjoyed this peice ight up until the you can go and fuck off.  I think it could have ended so much more tactfully. You have a lot of potential.  Keep writing.
