Poem -

Stroke of Midnight

I walk in the garden at the stroke ofย
midnight.ย
The moon is as bright as the sun on a clearย
day.ย
The beams of light are warm to my cheek.
The flowers smell like natural candy.ย
The trees whisper to each other as I walkย
underneath them.ย
A rabbit runs across a grassy meadowย
And suddenly is attacked by a vicious wolf.ย
Its remains are infested with grackles.ย
The bones of the fallen hare cry out to the
feathers of the fleeing crow.ย
The grackles are screeching as they slowlyย
fade away.ย
