Struggle

When my well is dry I make a start

I leave and walk with a heavy heart

Each step I take Ā bruised with doubt but I keep on going and laugh on the way.

I thrash through branches, I scale the trees, I get mucky and lonely and broken and seized.

I keep on going and soon there's a breeze, a friend, a hand,anĀ ear, an anchor, a smile. I keep on going that extra mile.

I sit on the rooftops and admire the land

My body is weary but I am alive

I reach my end, I find my goal. My well is brimming, I feel like gold.
