Study says
it’s lust at first sight
Now in the name of science
shall we remove the phrase
“love at first sight” from dictionaries
to make the world more scientific
Oh yeah, every phrase
should be studied by science

Can any study tell us
how “people fall head over heels in love”
what “face that could stop a clock”
“whom the gods love die young”
if “everybody loves a lord”
‘n’ why “one cannot love and be wise”

Well, let’s tell scientists
there must be cases
of “when poverty comes in at the door,
love flies out of the window”
‘n’ we firmly believe
“tis better to have loved and lost
than never to have loved at all”
So you needn’t waste a taxpayers’ penny

I’d rather believe “God is Love”
No need for any scientific proof
Everyone can have the luck
of “love at first sight”
