such romance as rests within

such romance rests within.
as i take a walk of passion
through woodland, vale or dell
tasting breeze upon my lips
and weathers wisp like caress.

timid wildlife eye with caution
yet relax to my demeanor
as careful steps wander further
into this wonderland so overlooked
where once mankind was homed

.          beneath the status symbol prizes
.          away from mortar and brick
.          where needless fashion falters
.          and fancy perfume disturbs the peace
.          worms and grubs enjoy rotting bark
.          amid thriving villages of fungi bloom

Upon long fallen trunk of tree
fresh earthy waft of breeze swept grass
fills the air with
mother natures eau-de-garden scent
   creatures venture from their homes
playing Peter Rabbit games with my mind
