JOURNEY

JOURNEY

I have seen my life as a winding road
thoughts and memories as I go
Glancing in a mirrored view
Whilst focused on the forward journey 

Bearing wrong and bearing right
Breaking down lonely nights
Wishing sometimes to reach an end
Enjoying some scenery and some of the bends

Navigating wrongs and rights
Downhill cruises and hill climbs 
When I was young I used to go so fast 
I never really got to stop

Although I tried
