Sullied Bloom

Sullied Bloom

Upon course silt it lay
Bent and broken on display.
Tumbled by foamy refrain.
Keen tis rough terrane

Chaos partakes splendor it gave.
Plundered by briny wave.
Plucked by callus hand.
Discarded in sodden sand.

Beauty bodes no mercy my dear
Gaia bestows only apathy here.
Clouds horde gild sunshine
Tis nature’s grand design

For moments in time
Cast twas beauty sublime.
But alas mere fleeting strife
Fodder tis gift to sea life
