Summer Afternoon

Summer Afternoon

Oh sweet discordĀ
Tearing me apart like its a game
Loving the feeling of the morbidityĀ
Tearing your world apart in sweet scattered paper piecesĀ
How you must love the anarchy you bore into my handsĀ
Wrapped around the neckĀ
Of a summer afternoonĀ
Feeling my rage you only fueledĀ
Letting my eyes turn blue while my fingers turn red
Staining the peaceĀ
That you stole from me
Oh sweet discordĀ
How you break my teethĀ
To release my tongueĀ
How you stab me in the heart
So I'll bleed out onto the stainless carpetĀ
Become hallowed outĀ
Posses me, control me
Cutting my eyes so I can't sleepĀ
Staring at the moonĀ
Waiting for it to blinkĀ
As I painfully cry for themĀ
How you must love the tortureĀ
Cutting a strand a dayĀ
From a stranded paper airplaneĀ
You turned me so vileĀ
Oh sweet discord
How could you drive me so mad?Ā
Until I became the monsterĀ
That used to lurk under my bed
That used to live inside my mindĀ
Master of pain
Controlling my handsĀ
That wrap around the neck of a long forgotten summer afternoonĀ
