Summer Nights
Fall in love with me again,
on these sweet summer nights.
Choose to relive
my innocent courting
Take my hand

Talk to me for endless hours,
on park benches.
Tell me your secrets,
share your dreamsΒ
They are safe
with me.Β
I've heard your words,
and I believe you.
And our shared tears
were not a defeat
They were the annointing waters
declaring us one.Β
Open up to me once more,
in these humid evenings.
The awkward pace, so slow,Β
toward our first kiss.
Taste my lips.
Again.
Know that my heart
has never died,
in any fashionΒ
My souls intention
is still...
to be in love with you. . .
