Summer Rain

Summer Rain

Summer Rain

I thought my memory
had forgotten her
But here she is again
Back with explosions of thunder
In a deluge of summer rain.

I remember the Hayloft
Where we sheltered
as the storm it passed us by
The thunder in our hearts
The lightening in the sky

Passions hot as firelight
The pounding of the rain
The lightening flickered brightly
As we made love again

With spirits wild
with rain and thunder
Filled with wanton on that day
Your body it said more to me
than your lips could ever say

I thought my memory
had forgotten her
But here she is again
Back with explosions of thunder
In a deluge of summer rain
