Summer Splashes

There is nothing happy to write
I regret thatÂ
Of course, I see the children
Out there at play
Hot sun beams bouncing off
blond mops
Turning the dark heads
copper
And oh, such a rich rich red..
Life and innocence in all its
colour, screeching in the
summer street
I see the flowers weary and
parched, yet...
Managing, bravely, as they wilt
in the heat
I feel the god given breath
In out and in out
And I try to be grateful and
smile
Then I catch my reflection
Full of deadness and doubt
Feel... that... question arise
What's this life all about

What a visual , beautiful description as it highly resonated , maybe … just maybeÂ
Some of us are sponges of pain to absorb so the copper heads don’t have to . BEAUTIFUL and relatable write Marion.Â

Sometimes happy, sunshine days can actually make the broken hearted feel worse. They shouldn't do but they do. Hugs for you Marion x
