Sun V Mist

Sun V Mist

The mist clung tight to the dewy leaves,
Reluctant to let go,
It was still early in the morn,
The sun was but a glow.
But as the glow grew stronger,
It chased before it a swirling breeze,
Tugging at the mist,
Revealing the wetland trees.
At last the sun had won,
Just a hint of mist remained,
Frogs sat still on the bank
The night, their croaks had claimed.
Eels in motion created ripples,
As they patrolled their water way,
Gliding through this wetland scene,
To start a brand new day.
The flowered seeds of sedge
Relented to the breeze that grew,
And lift-off from the mother plant,
To explore the sky now blue.
