Sunflower

Sunflower

Eyes beseech grace,
Engulf mine face
Apollonian chariot afire
Thou balm sole desire

Be still florid heart
Slain errant impart
Arise east to west
May ardor manifest.

Cherish shy guiles
Virtue craves thou wiles
Flourish blithe unrest
Abloom herein chest

Sultry lips belayed
Bequeath errand maid
Betwixt diurnal hour
Kindle unquited sunflower

Wow the passion in this oozes gorgeously from line to line. Refined and elegantly worded it reads sublime out loud

It is elegant and a joy to read you and it makes me smile and feel good to be alive after reading not good, but great poetry.
As sunflower and love poems go, I believe you've corned the market and then some.
Welcoming warm light, vibrant colour and glowing radiance all splendidly woven together and presented.
A prepossessing poem that is wonderfully written.
Thank you Lisa.
