Sunflowers

In the dappled
shade dew,
the sun and clouds
reflect morning starlight
and silver bright
sunlit moon.
In golden spirit light
defeated dreams ignite,
yellow petals of gold and light
track the sun and comet flight,
through the Earth´s
pulse beat of space and time.
Fiery charms for the heart
in the mists of tears and mind,
gentle sunflowers of golden
Spring´s hue and warming light
upon the fading night and
streaks of snow,
the light of sunlit sunflower glow.
Sunny companions for the
shadows of journey´s plight,
over water and earth,
where wind and rain
cast pure and deep,
and sow sunflower seeds
in sunlit peace.

EXCELLENT POETRY WELL WRITTEN LINDA BRAVO.
Hi Linda Lank, thank you for your much valued lovely comment, very inspirational kind words. Thank you, much appreciated.
Hello Tony
I hope you are keeping well.
The rhyming in this is so skilfully laid. Lines weave, painting such tranquil imagery into your readers mind. I just love how you use nature as the canvas for your subject. It makes beautiful poetry. Thoroughly enjoyed :)

Hi Gwen,
Lovely to read your very kind words, I´m keeping very well and I hope you are too. Thrilled that you thoroughly enjoyed this poem. Spring comes early here in southern Spain, although only short, the mountains are carpeted with wildflowers and the air is full of the commotion of birds and butterflies.
So sorry that you missed the Green Comet but there is a conjunction of Jupiter and Venus visible in the western sky at the moment. If you have clear skies where you are, you should be able to see it. Thank you for your thoughts Gwen. xx
