Sunny Rain

Sunny Rain

Heady scent of dewy grass
in dripping sun soaked rain
I stood in the doorway
between wet and dry
heart leaning forward
sense pulling back
Tip tapping rain played a twinkling song
on buckets and roofs and trees,
as leaves dipped and roseĀ in rhythm
with rolling shiny drops.
The happy sun shone rays of
beaming reflected refracted
light into all the dark dark
corners of my world asĀ 
rainbows lit the sky,
roadways to heaven and back.
I wondered about the pot of gold
and secret fairies play
